Ellyn & Pete Skytop Lodge

Ellyn and Pete had a wonderful day for their wedding at The Skytop Lodge, in Skytop , Pa.  They  both enjoy brewing their own beer, so they incorporated that into the theme of their day, brewing their beer and bottling it themselves, right down to the label, for the guests favors. The topper for the cake was custom made to resemble their pets:)Flowers by The Skytop Flower shop.

The view from the  top  of the lodge is spectacular and since Michelle was on the ground covering the ceremony, I was able to run( walking is not an option ) up to the top to get the image you will see in this post, then calm my breathing, so I will not have camera shake:)I am sure I look like a woman  on a mission, or plain crazy, trying get up there and back down, so I miss just a small portion of the ceremony. But the shots are so worth it!!!!!!

The sky was simply unbelievable that day as you will see, so we were able to get some fantastic sunset shots as well as a few unexpected ones, just before we headed into the reception venue. The sky changed from an amazing shade of yellow/orange to intense red all in a matter of minutes. How cool is that:)

The up lighting  and entertainment  provided by Paris Kiriakis of Good Vibrations.  As always he did a wonderful job and really got the  quests up and on their feet.

Enjoy!

Pocono wedding photographer

Ada and Matthew

I was so happy to have a beautiful day to shoot Ada and Matt ‘s wedding at The Inn at Pocono Manor, in the Pocono Mountains of PA. It is a wonderful old style mountain resort set amongst 3,000 acres, that has been recently updated, very warm and inviting.

Since Ada and Matt had chosen the mountain for their theme spot, they opted to have their flowers very natural and native to the area. Annie’s Orchids, did a amazing job. Every centerpiece was different and the place cards, were individual vases with flowers that matched each centerpiece. Very creative. Ada’s  bouquet, if you look closely, you will see has an artichoke as the focal point. I know that sounds kind of odd, but it actually looked great.:)

The bridesmaids all wore different style gowns in  various shades of green. I have put in a few silly poses, just so you know when you see these in my posts, I do not stage them, it is always the couples idea. I just run with it. I say have fun, it’s your wedding day. I’ll make sure to catch it:)

Their program was one of the most unique I have ever seen. It was a timeline of their dating years together, done up with humor. It fit their personalities well, they were just adorable together. As always it was my pleasure to be there and preserve these moments!

Kimberly and Michael

Kimberly and Michael had an outdoor ceremony at  The Skytop Lodge, in the Pocono mountains of PA.  Guess what it rained:(imagine that! it rain this year. I can honestly say that in 17 years of doing wedding photography, this has been the rainiest season ever. I feel for all the couples. The ceremony was moved to the beautiful porch in front of the courtyard. That wonderful diffused look in the background, yeah it’s rain. So we needed to get creative  since outside images, were not an option!

Kimberly had an amazing cathedral length veil, I love to play with veils:)Since they are both attorneys, they of course incorporated that into their program and ceremony. I thought it was adorable. Take time to read it, I have it shown on the blog pics. Kimberly paid tribute to her father in  the program as well,  I am assuming he was a Trekkie, hence the ” live long and prosper” quote, I tied in her something blue with the image!

The reception was a blast, see for yourself!

Amanda & Ed’s album

Here’s a few of my faves from Amanda and Ed’s album. I love when couples are open to fun and creative  posing.  Sending the albums home is the best part!

Kerri & Brandon Big Pocono State Park

The first time I sat down with Kerri and Brandon, I knew their wedding would be unique and laid back. Kerri and Brandon are snowboard instructors, so we had a great discussion about  how I had always wanted to try, but everyone said it is too hard and I am too old to learn. Which is a bad thing to tell me : ) They assured me that was false,  Now I have to learn!   The oldest person they taught was 75. Yeah there is hope for all of us!

But enough about that. Since they are  instructors, they met each other on the slopes. Brandon proposed at the very spot they held the wedding, at the top of the black diamond run at Camelback in the Big Pocono State park, using the chair lift as their altar. How romantic is that. The view was stunning and the details were very simple and natural. Kerri looked so sweet  and Brandon is quite a character, but why wouldn’t he be . Such a wonderful group of friends and family. Thank you for allowing me to enjoy your day.

Their tented affair was decorated with hand painted canvas,  nice touch.  The awesome cake and cupcake by Vegan Treats Bakery MMMM  so good!   Special thanks to Maggie  Of  Maggie J Photography for seconding shooting : )
